Victoria’s Secret it’s out! Cher has been tapped for the big comeback of her once very popular runway show.
The 78-year-old pop diva was announced on Tuesday as the headliner for the lingerie brand’s signature fashion show. set for October 15 in Brooklyn.
“It’s a woman’s world, so it goes without saying that you can’t have a fashion show without the mother of fashion herself – Cher!” Victoria’s Secret revealed on Instagram.
“We are beyond excited to announce that it will officially be perform at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show“, the company continued. “But she will not be alone … stay tuned, more announcements are coming to strengthen our first line of all women.”
Supermodels Tyra Banks, Gigi Hadid, Candice Swanepoel and Paloma Elsesser are among the brand’s most famous faces who are also confirmed to hit the runway.
While it is unclear whether the next show will be broadcast live on TV or available for streaming, as it has been in previous years, the company hosted a sweepstakes last week for a chance to win a fashion show party kit.
Victoria’s Secret announced on social media in May that the The fashion show returns after a six-year hiatus. After facing criticism for its lack of inclusivity on the runway amid the #MeToo movement and declining sales, the brand pulled the plug on the show in 2019.
The annual event began in 1995 and has been broadcast on network TV since 2001.

After 2022 in three parts Hulu Documentary “Victoria’s Secret: Angels and Demons”, the company released the film “Victoria’s Secret World Tour” as part of a renewal effort last year.
On August 14, Victoria’s Secret announced associate Hillary Superthe former CEO of Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty, to take over the reins of the company.
